The establishment of the international music competition "Sounds of the Land of Fire"

We are delighted to announce the establishment of the international music competition "Sounds of the Land of Fire"!

The competition is organized by the Azerbaijani Academic Association, an NGO officially registered with the Ministry of the Interior of Austria and actively operating in Vienna since 2002.

The purpose of the competition is to support talented musicians, provide them with opportunities to showcase their skills, and create a platform for cultural exchange. Our goal is to inspire musicians to study and perform works by great Azerbaijani composers, such as Uzeyir Hajibeyli, and to foster a space for creative collaboration.

Main Objectives of the Competition:

• To encourage cultural exchange by uniting traditions from different countries through music

• To offer performers a platform to express themselves and enhance their professional skills

• To create a unique opportunity for musicians from around the world to explore the rich musical heritage of Azerbaijan

  
  

Competition Format:

The competition is open to musicians worldwide between the ages of 18 and 35 (at the time of participation). Participants from all over the world are invited to demonstrate their skills under the outlined conditions. A key element of the competition is the performance of works by Azerbaijani composers, emphasizing the unique character of the event.

Prizes for the Winners:

• First Place: €1,500

• Second Place: €1,000

• Third Place: €500

• Best Performance of an Azerbaijani Composition: €350

• Fully Sponsored Trip to Azerbaijan: All prize winners will have the opportunity to visit Azerbaijan and immerse themselves in its culture and music.
