Biography

Originally from Nakhchivan, Azerbaijan, Sabina Rzazade began studying piano at the age of eight. She quickly emerged as a promising young talent, winning prizes at several international competitions: “Future Stars” (Baku, 2014), the Frederic Chopin Competition (Narva, Estonia, 2015), and First Prize at the Konstantin Igumnov International Competition (Lipetsk, Russia, 2016). She performed as a soloist with the Azerbaijan State Chamber Orchestra (2014, 2015) and the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra (2016, 2017).

In 2017, Sabina moved to Canada to pursue her musical education under Professor Alexander Tselyakov. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Brandon University, where she was also an accompanist with the Suzuki Talent Educational Program and maintained a private studio of piano students, developing her personal teaching style.

In November 2019, she performed with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Naomi Woo as part of the WSO in Brandon Concert Series.

Currently based in Toronto, Sabina Rzazade recently earned her Master’s degree in Collaborative Piano at the Faculty of Music, University of Toronto. Alongside her performance career, she continues to engage in teaching and chamber music.
