Biography

Kemale Akhmedova was born on December 22, 1957, in Baku, Azerbaijan.

She began her formal music education in 1963 at the prestigious Bulbul Specialized Music School in Baku, where she studied piano and graduated with honors in 1975. From 1976 to 1981, she continued her higher education at the Hajibeyov Azerbaijan State Conservatory (now the Baku Music Academy), where she once again graduated with honors, majoring in piano performance.

Between 1982 and 1991, Ms. Akhmedova worked as a piano teacher and accompanist at the Baku Academy of Arts, actively contributing to the musical and artistic development of young talents.

Since 1992, she has been living in Vienna, Austria, where she continues her cultural and educational activities. From 1994 to 2005, she served as a volunteer music teacher at the Vienna International School (VIS), where she shared her knowledge and experience with an international student body.

Ms. Akhmedova is known for her dedication to music education, cross-cultural artistic exchange, and the promotion of Azerbaijani musical traditions abroad.
In 2022, she served as a jury member for the international music competition “Sounds of the Land of Fire” held in Vienna.
